Are my images sent to a server?
No. All processing happens directly in your browser. Your files never leave your device.
Which formats are generated when optimising?
JPG, PNG and WebP are always generated. AVIF is added automatically if your browser supports it: it's the most compressed format available today.
What does "keep EXIF metadata" mean?
EXIF data contains information such as the date the photo was taken, the camera model, or GPS location. By default, Impmage removes them to protect your privacy. You can choose to keep them if needed.
Can I process multiple images at once?
Yes. The workspace accepts up to 10 images at once. Load them all at once or add them one by one. You can switch between images and apply different operations to each.
What is the difference between Optimise and Resize?
Optimise reduces the file size by changing the format and compression, without altering the dimensions. Resize changes the image dimensions according to a preset or custom format.
Does the tool work without an internet connection?
Yes. Once the page is open in your browser, you can keep using Impmage even without an internet connection.
